For the month of August I tried a different leave in conditioner. It's by Cantu.
I am in love with the results I am getting with this conditioner. On the outside of the bottle it says it provides intense moisture to leave hair soft and manageable. It also helps for damaged, dry, or coarse hair.
My problem is dry hair. I should really say extremely dry hair. Part of it has to do with the summer. Particularly the middle section of my hair is really dry. I have tried a few different products, but nothing has compared to the Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioner.
For the rest of my curls the Cantu Shea Butter has amplified them.
I have only been using this product a week, but I noticed results instantly.
I loved the way how the conditioner smelled in the store. It reminded me of wild flowers if that make any sense to you (lol). But as I was mixing the product in my hair with some other products the smell changed.
I read some reviews on Amazon that it has a fishy odor, but I wouldn't say that exactly. And while we are on the topic of Amazon, they have this same Cantu product listed as $4.93. I paid $6.99 at my local beauty supply store.
So, do I recommend this product??? Absolutely! I plan to shop another conditioning product next month, but with this being so good...I'm not sure.
Here's a few things from the back label that you should probably know about Cantu Shea Butter Leave-In Conditioning Repair Cream:
1. It's a daily styling product.
2. It's a leave-in treatment. It says apply a plastic cap overnight for maximum absorption.
3. Gives you frizz free hair.
Oh! That's what I forgot to mention...the frizz. I apply Eco-Styler Gel to my roots and ends everyday. It's one of my everyday styling products. However, this week while I've been using the Cantu I have not needed any Eco-Styler Gel on my ends. My roots yes, but my ends no. It definitely helps to control those fly-aways.
Just one more thing!
This product is good for relaxed, natural, texturized, colored, or permed hair.
I'm sure you can tell by all the great things I have talked about, that I am in loved with this product.
If you are like myself and have been experiencing recent problems with dry hair I would recommend trying this product. I have been transitioning for 3 years and dryness was not always a problem for me until around April of this year. The problem could be related to my eating habits, the weather, the other hair products I'm currently using, or just about anything. I'm going to definitely be finishing this product out for the remainder of August and I'll see if I can find a product that can top this one.
