Shea Butter and Coils Kind of Day: Part One

I went to bed last night and was not sure how my hair would turn out.  If you read my last blog post, then you know I am hooked to the Cantu Shea Butter leave in conditioner.

Last night, I cold washed my hair, sectioned it into 4 parts, and I further sectioned the four parts into coils.  Then I placed a plastic cap on my head and sleep in it all night.

This morning after taking the plastic cap off and seeing the results I was amazed.  Here is why...

1. I have tried coils before and it was a big fail.
2. My hair was super moisturized this morning and all through out the day.
3. It didn't take long to style my hair this morning.  It can take me 15-20 minutes sometimes.

So, today turned out to be a coils kind of day.  I just got finish putting my hair into a pineapple for bed and I can't wait to see what tomorrow will bring.  I hope your day was well too.

You know all this week I have been saying to myself that Life is a Journey.  Lately, I have been really trying to trust God with everything in my life and just be happy with what I have.  I'm not trying to make a move without him and I am realizing that I am on a journey.  Life can be tough, it can move at a snail's pace, it can take us for a loop, and it can even bring us happiness.  You just have to make up in your mind which way to go today.

In my car this morning I'm Every Woman came on by Whitney Houston and it gave me so much life.  Every morning I try to pray before my day gets started and I usually have a great talk with God on my way to work.  Normally, I don't listen to the radio in the car, but I have been wanting to hear Steve Harvey and Ricky Smiley's morning show gossip, lol.  You know just trying something a little different today.  But as that song was playing it ministered to me and I just heard God say lets keep the radio right there.

You see I needed that today.  My hair gave me a confident, but so did that little song.  And we all know God works in mysterious ways and He definitely worked this morning!!
